Ini adalah suasana graduation massey di palmy. Yang nie bukan garden parade convo tapi adalah program akhir selepas mereka menerima ijazah di dewan dan diarak ke square park ini. By the way, congratulations to Erlun and Wenli for graduation. Kami masih jauh lagi.....tapi tuelah bila sembang2 dgn mama sesekali bila tgk kwn2 pakai rope semangat kembali datang untuk buat PhD....Congratulation jugak for Dr Redha.....PhD in Agricultures science. dia grad bln march 2008. Sahabat baik di islamic centre. Insyallah 2011 kalau ada rezeki anak2 dapatlah papa and mama pakai rope mcm kwn2 kita nie.....amin....Batrisyia hari-hari papa ingatkan supaya doakan kejayaan papa and mama ok.....

Just to share this knowledge to all of my friends. Dah mula run experiment untuk enzymatic cellulosic technology with ultrasound application. Dalam scope nie jer ada 2 jenis cellulose (substrate) yg akan apply; soluble (SCMC), lactose and insoluble (Solka-floc) with 3 different particle sizes dan 2 jenis enzyme; cellulase (Accellerase 1000) and Beta-galactosidase. Biasalah kat industry kadang2 ada yg soluble dan insoluble. Senang cerita reaction process antara cellulose dgn enzyme untuk produce glucose. Cuma state-of-the-art nya kat sini adalah capability ultrasound untuk enhance reaction rate tanpa mengubah atau menambah kuantiti substrate (Km) dan fix kuantiti enzyme. Klu kuantiti substrate bertambah, lama2 kilang pun boleh tutup....

High perfomance hydrolysis of Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (SCMC) - Soluble Cellulose using Ultrasonication Pretreatment
Effective approaches to a practical high-performance enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose were investigated using a ultrasonic irradiation as a pretreatment from cellulase, Accellerase 1000. Their efficacy on enhancement of reactivity was discussed based on the kinetic parameters, i.e; Michaelis constant Km, maximum reaction rate Vmax, and initial reaction rate Vi, correlating with ultrasonic conditions. A relatively ultrasonication of the cellulose clearly enhanced the enzyme reaction rate. Enhancement of Vmax without increasing Km (It was the one of the useful data for hydrolysis of cellulosic resources) by ultrasonication was effective by increasing the irradiation power and short irradiation time. The mechanisms that contribute to the enhancement were that substrate surface became rough under the influence of ultrasonic pretreatment.The roughness of surface promoted adsorption of cellulase molecules on surface of cellulose fiber. This finding is considered advantageous for the practical implementation of ultrasonic pretreatment in a cellulose hyrolysis system and cellulose saccharification process.

Bowling at Cuba Street

Oleh kerana minggu nie malas nak bawa batrisyia swimming di aquatic Lido centre, jadi kami sekeluarga menukar angin untuk bermain bowling di Cuba Street. Entrance fee untuk bowling game adalah $10 (adult) and $8 (kid) per frame. Jadi batrisyia mcm biasa kena guna ram untuk throw ball to the lane. Tapi kat sini supaya every throw drp kid tidak masuk drain, jadi bowling centre nie createkan bumper disebelah kiri dan kanan lane. Happy lah jugak tgk batrisyia happening mcm tue sbb saja jer nak bwk dia setelah penat seminggu di childcare centre. Tapi tgklah sebelum main possing kena buat dulu dan ambil gambar tue wajib...klu tak mengamuk sesuka hati dia...By the way, congrate to Mama won this week competition with 106 falling pins. Mak Su 105, Papa 98 pins and adik 87 pins
Bila dh penat bermain dan berjalan-jalan disekitar palmy, mcm biasalah perut lapaq. Tapi mama mmg dh well-trained sebelum keluar rumah makanan dh ready masak dan bila balik just masuk dlm microwave untuk panaskan.

Buah Hati Papa & Mama

Hahaha.....saja jer nak share these pictures to Uda, Uteh, Pak Long, Mak Long and Pak Ngah. These pictures have been taken when i was staying at home for my holiday last week. There are too many activities have been planned by papa and mama during a holiday which were accompanied mama and papa went to the saturday market to buy some vegetables and fishes, Pak n Save, Davis Trading and Preston. During a holiday, my routine activity is learning how to use a computer to draw the pictures using the variation of colors, create the words and write my name. My childcare has also teached me how to create an email account and sending an email to my friends.

Wellington Visit and MSD Programme at High Comm of Malaysia

Pada 25-27 April 2008, Malaysian Student Department New Zealand telah mengadakan Program Pendampingan Pelajar/Outreach Program Malaysia di New Zealand. Kami telah dijemput oleh MSD untuk menjadi salah seorang fasilitator bagi program 2 hari tersebut. Program ini mengabungkan seluruh Persatuan Pelajar Malaysia di New Zealand serta mengadakan bengkel kepimpinan kepada persatuan pelajar ini. Di akhir program kami selaku fasilitator telah memberikan analisa keseluruhan perjalanan bengkel serta penambaikan yang perlu dibuat pada masa-masa akan datang. Secara keseluruhannya, melalui program yang dirancang, 90% objective telah dicapai dalam aspek kepimpinan dan kerjasama pasukan (team working) iaitu dinilai dari segi Leadership, Trustness, Willingness dan Domination. Program ala " Amazing Race" di sekitar wellington town pada hari terakhir program adalah simulasi bagi penilaian yang dibuat oleh fasilitator.
Kami juga tidak melepaskan peluang untuk menikmati keindahan malam di Wellington yang amat sibuk. Menjamu selera di Nandos restaurant (Halal Chicken) sebab di Palmy tak ada restaurant seumpama tue  . Lepas habis makan berjalan2 di sekitar kawasan wellington dan terjumpa kawasan yang paling popular...Mermaid hehehe . Pengambaran disekitar welly town tak lama sebab pada pukul 10.00 kami terpaksa ke MSD semula untuk menilai program yang dijalankan oleh pelajar bagi sessi malam.
Maaf kepada Mama and Nino sbb tak sempat nak bershopping ke hutt valley sbb program penutup berlanjutan sehingga ke maghrib dan terpaksa bergegas untuk pulang ke palmerston north....

Just updated my activities and my face. Now i am 3 yrs old and the next 2 yrs, i will enrolling my primary school at the Palmy school. Papa and mama have bought my hat from Warehouse Supermarket and i'm really happy with my new hat. Opps....don't disturb me ok...i need to pray and will see you guys soon....hehehe...

Totara Reserve Regional Park - Pohangina Asshurst
|

Oleh kerana tak sempat bwk batrisyia ke LIDO Swimming Pool....kami pun bertukar angin ke Totara Reserve Park di Pohangina Asshurst. Perjalanan dr rumah kami 30 minutes. Sajer-jer untuk menenangkan fikiran dari kerja-kerja PhD di Uni. Susah nak cari water fall kat area palmy dan kat Totara nie pun bolehlah...untuk merasai feel air terjun...tapi taklah sehebat air terjum Sedim hehehe..
Oleh sebab suhu badan panas, terpaksalah berendam di dalam air....temperature air ~ 9-10 C...mmg sejuk...tp bila dh berendam sejuk hilang....tapi klu mat salleh tgk mesti pengsan sbb masa tue temperature 11 C, effect nya malam tue terus kena flue, sneezing dan demam.

Tahun nie birthday present untuk mama tak dapat handing over on time sbb sedikit masalah teknikal. Papa sebenarnya nk tgu set glass dining table kat Kmart tue reduced price...tapi tak turun2 jgk. By the way...as alternatif lupa plk mama sebenarnya interested to portable steam iron......oklah harga steam iron tue mmg dlm bajet papa.....anyway...diharapkan mama happy dgn present tue ok..

FESTIVAL OF CULTURES 2008
This year the Festival of Cultures was held at the Square Park Palmerston North on Saturday 29 March 2008. The Festival of Cultures is a celebration of Palmerston North’s richness and diversity of cultures and is a great opportunity for new refugees and migrants to have a sense of place, feel connected and have a sense of belonging, while they display with pride the cultural variety they bring to the City.
This festival has showed a variety of cultural performances and traditional food by African, Asian, Indian, Brazilian, and European countries
The Festival of Cultures event was provided by the Palmerston North City Council in association with the Ethnic Council and RMS refugee resettlement.
